THE PIANO SOMATICS STUDIO, NOVI SAD

Due to the pandemic, with Alan Fraser's international teaching schedule drastically curtailed, we are offering a special, semi-private institute (to be scheduled as soon as travel restrictions are eased) at his studio in Novi Sad, on the American 1942 Steinway B originally owned by Wanda Landowska. Some say the sound and feel of the Landowska Steinway alone is worth the effort of traveling to this Eastern Europe capital of culture. Its range of colour recalls the Horowitz Steinway D, and once you have opened up your sound on this extraordinary instrument, you realize you can do the same on other instruments.

The Institute piano lessons, lectures, Awareness Through Movement™ classes and Functional Integration lessons will be tailor-made to the needs of each individual participant. There are low-cost flights to Belgrade from many European cities and an inexpensive shuttle to Novi Sad, a picturesque East European town designated as the 2022 European Capital of Culture.

Alan also works privately with individual pianists who travel to Novi Sad to play on the Landowska Steinway and enjoy personal attention from a teacher who helps you not just improve but transform your pianistic artistry.

Alan teaches ALL INTERESTED PIANISTS:

  • students who wish to improve their sound and agility
  • amateurs who wish to feel more in command of the instrument
  • teachers who want new ways of teaching technique to their students
  • professionals who wish to hone their skills to the highest possible level.

He teaches in English, French and Serbian.
