LA MAISON CRÈME ANGLAISE IN MONTRÉAL, BOURGOGNE, FRANCE

Since the publication of All Thumbs in French in 2012, Alan Fraser has held several institutes in France annually. This is the fifth time the Institute comes to La Maison Crème Anglaise , a wonderful bed & breakfast situatated in village seemingly untouched by time since the 13th century. Our hosts Graham and Christine Battaye offer all the modern amenities, but the architecture takes us back to a time when music-making was a more congenial affair. The salon with its excellent Bluthner piano has a fireplace and cozy furniture for the auditor's listening pleasure. There are two practice pianos in the lodging houses and another piano at a neighbours's chateau. This is an international, bilingual institute where Alan teaches in French or English depending on the participant's language.

The Institute is OPEN TO ALL INTERESTED PIANISTS:

  • students who wish to improve their sound and agility
  • amateurs who wish to feel more in command of the instrument
  • teachers who want new ways of teaching technique to their students
  • professionals who wish to hone their skills to the highest possible level.
