Just minutes from Canada's Parliament Buildings in downtown Ottawa,
Perez Hall of the University of Ottawa
is home to the Music School as well as to the state of
the art Piano Pedagogy Research Laboratory.
The institute will be held in Freiman Recital Hall which features an excellent Yamaha concert grand and Steinway B.
There are ample practice facilities upstairs.
The Institute is OPEN TO ALL INTERESTED PIANISTS:
Many teachers in the Ottawa area may find it difficult to get away from their studio obligations for the entire week.
There are also interested amateurs whose day jobs will prevent them from attending the entire institute. For them we offer
individual lessons on a pay-as-you-go basis. For teachers, the special focus will be on bringing Fraser's new technique
strategies to your young students, allowing them to improve their sound and agility, advance more quickly and avoid the risk
of injury later on. Please contact Janice Gray to arrange these lessons.
GOING TO THE ORMTA CONVENTION?
Planning on attending the annual convention in Chatham July 22-23? Why not take a couple of days off before the convention,
come up to Ottawa and have a lesson with Alan Fraser? It'll be the perfect complement to your convention learning
Perez Hall is located at the north end of the campus, just south of Laurier Avenue. It is indicated as "PRZ" on this

Student housing is available on campus only a few minutes' walk from Perez Hall. To reserve your room please contact
Student Housing directly. There are many restaurants in the
area as well as high quality coffee joints.
For those who wish to experience more of the culture of Ottawa we recommend
Airbnb which has a wide selection of affordable rooms in private homes near
the university. Book early to be sure to have an optimal choice.
We also recommend the Ambassador Bed & Breakfast at 450 Laurier Ave, just a few blocks
from campus. Very reasonable, very clean, very welcoming Russian hosts, a really great breakfast included in the price,
and there just may be an upright piano in the living room by July.
The active participation fee covers FIVE individual lessons, daily group ATM lesson, daily seminar lecture,
and observation of all other lessons. Auditors participate fully but receive no individual lessons.
