Less than an hour north of Salt Lake City, nestled by the Wasatch Mountains is Weber State University, one of Utah's foremost educational institutions. The Browning Center for the Performing Arts offers state-of-the-art facilities including an all-Steinway music department.
GUEST PROFESSORSHIP IRINA SAYGINA
We are pleased to welcome Russian pianist Irina Saygina as our onsite consultant for all things relating to youth piano pedagogy. Her background at Kiev Conservatory and her deep knowledge of the Russian system of music education offer teachers a rich resource for upgrading their studio curriculum. Irina has studied with both Alan Fraser and Phil Cohen for several years and is expert at applying the ideas of Craft of Piano Method in piano lessons for the young student. Participants interested in studying with Irina at this institute should let us know when registering.

The Browning Center, home to the Weber University Music School in Ogden, Utah, just north of Salt Lake City, is located at the south end of the campus. Practice facilities in this all-Steinway music school will be provided.

Inexpensive student housing is available on campus only a few minutes' walk from the Browning Center. To reserve your room please contact Student Housing directly. The Students Union has several eateries where a variety of meals are available at lunch time. For supper there are many restaurants within walking distance of the Weber State campus.
The active participation fee covers SIX individual lessons, daily group ATM lesson, daily seminar lecture, and observation of all other lessons. Auditors participate fully but receive no individual lessons.

Fees for the Alan Fraser Piano Institute cover venue rental costs, travel costs, administration and website costs as well as Professor Fraser's teaching fees. Accommodation fees are paid separately to the host institution or the private accommodation you arrange.

ALAN FRASER
Canadian pianist Alan Fraser gives master classes and recitals worldwide and conducts ongoing research and refinement on the ideas put forth in his three books, The Craft of Piano Playing (also in DVD), Honing the Pianistic Self-Image, and All Thumbs: Well-Coordinated Piano Technique. NILA LEDESMA
Nila Ledesma has taught piano at her home studio in the Salt Lake City area for many years, and is a Suzuki Piano Specialist. She first attended the Alan Fraser Piano Institute in 2011, and has been a (humble and humbled) participant at two Institutes. She is always astonished at his knowledge, passion, patience, and refined ears. Nila is the head onsite administrator for the 2015 institute.

Cancellation Policy
If you must cancel your registration, reimbursement will be as follows: Cancellations before May 15: 100% reimbursement. Cancellations before May 31: 75% reimbursement. Cancellations before June 15: 50% reimbursement. Cancellations before July 1: 25% reimbursement. Cancellations after July 1: no reimbursement unless except in cases of doctor-certified illness or acts of God. We reserve the right to cancel the institute due to insufficient enrolment; in this eventuality all resgistration fees will be fully refunded.
