THE PIANO SOMATICS STUDIO, NOVI SAD, MARCH 4-7

Due to the pandemic, Alan Fraser's international teaching schedule has been drastically curtailed. Some pianists are travelling to Serbia for private lessons at his studio in Novi Sad, on an American Steinway B originally owned by Wanda Landowska.

   The Landowska Steinway

Some say the sound and feel of the Landowska Steinway alone is worth the travel cost - and there's the added benefit of discovering how Piano Somatics, opening up your sound on this extraordinary instrument, will have you sounding better on other instruments as well.

In addition to private sessions, we are offering a special, semi-private institute at the same Novi Sad studio (dependent on travel restrictions being eased on time), with a combination of piano lessons, lectures, Awareness Through Movement classes and Functional Integration lessons tailor-made to the needs of each individual participant. There are low-cost flights to Belgrade from many European cities and an inexpensive shuttle to Novi Sad, a picturesque East European town designated as the 2022 European Capital of Culture, which has both many good hotels and a wide selection of airbnb rentals.

Alan teaches ALL INTERESTED PIANISTS:

  • students who wish to improve their sound and agility
  • amateurs who wish to feel more in command of the instrument
  • teachers who want new ways of teaching technique to their students
  • professionals who wish to hone their skills to the highest possible level.

He teaches in English, French and Serbian.
