Birthplace of Kemal Gekic
This exceptional institute will take place in Split, Dalmatia, the birthplace of Kemal Gekic, at the
Josip Hatze Music School. Fraser institute participants will be able
to observe Maestro Gekic teaching at his own
summer school (KGSS), held concurrently in the
same building. This is a rare opportunity to compare the two teachings and learn from them both.
If you cannot attend a complete institute, we can register you for only 4 days or fewer
- whatever your scheduling needs are, we can be completely flexible in meeting them.
The Institute is OPEN TO ALL INTERESTED PIANISTS:
Collaboration with Kemal Gekic Summer School
As well as running these Institutes, Alan Fraser will be adjunct professor at the KGSS and will teach in
both events. If you wish one of your Institute lessons to be with Maestro Gekic, we will do
our best to arrange it. KGSS participants will also be able to have piano lessons with Professor Fraser by arrangement with the KGSS organization.
Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement for All Participants
KGSS participants are invited to participate in our group Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement
lessons, only €15 per lesson. There will be a free introductory presentation,
"Familiarize Yourself with Feldenkrais" the first day. All those interested are
invited to attend.
This typical schedule will be modified according to the makeup and needs of the group.
The Institute will take place at the
„Josip Hatze“ Music School - new building, concert hall
Trg Hrvatske Bratske Zajednice 3
and at the old music school building,
„Josip Hatze“ Music School - old building, practice rooms
Ulica Kralja Tomislava 6
